The first day my Uncle Dave took my kids out fishing on his boat. They had a blast! We mostly did catch and release, but we did keep one bass that Robert and Lindsey will eat. And of course, since we were on a boat, we had to go for a boat ride. Michael wasn't too sure about the wind, but the girls loved it!
The next day we took a picnic lunch into town and went swimming. The pool had a "lazy river" where you just floated in tubes around and around. Rachel really liked sitting with me in a tube and just relaxing. They also had a kids fun pool and my girls especially loved that. I think Lindsey's favorite part was the water slide. We would watch her go down and she would get right back in line to go down again. They also had wheels that you could turn on spouts of water. Taylor had fun with those. Michael just had fun hanging out with Grandpa Eddie and his cousin Jonathan. It felt so nice to get rinsed off, too after camping for a bit. When we came back, Robert had prepared a delicious Dutch Oven dinner for us! I really married a great cook. To keep the kids busy, my cousin had cut a bunch of quilt squares and then we tie-dyed them.
It was sad to see everyone off the next morning, but we all had so much fun that we are going to try it again in two years, only this time we will be in California!
