We liked our homegrown turkeys last year so much that we decided to do it again. We got them when they were really little and had to keep them insulated, but soon they out grew that. Robert fixed up some pallets and netting and now they have a kind of coop to roam in.
Turkeys are really fast and can fly quite high if they want to, so we learned our lesson from last year and are keeping them penned from the start. In case you are wondering, we lost 3 out of 5 turkeys last year due to the fact that they got out and wild animals got them.
