Union Station

P5180303We went to Utah and met Aunt Nicki at the grocery store where we picked up some food for a picnic dinner.  She told us she had a neat place to eat.  Boy was it fun!  We went to Union Station in Ogden.   After eating, the kids got to play on a train.  You can see the three younger ones in the train window.  We had to help Rachel up there, but she sure thought it was fun.  That girl has no fear of heights!  She did not get that from her mom.  Taylor was still eating so she isn’t in the picture, but she soon joined along with them.

After cleaning up, we went to the other end of the station where they had some other big trains.  We got to see a wrecker train, a caboose, and even the train that carried the Olympic Torch into Salt Lake City for the 2002 Olympics.  Most of the doors for the cars were locked, but they got to climb all over the outside of the trains.  They thought it was great fun!  The train wheels are so big, they are even taller than Mommy!P5180306

Climbing on the trains was a great adventure.  It was difficult, though, to get all of the kids together for a picture.  The older ones kept getting a head and then the younger ones wanted to see what the older ones had seen.  We finally did get them to hold still for a quick picture.  They look so small on the train.

P5180312 We turned around once and found Rachel climbing up a ladder.  Yup, that girl has no fear!
